Water Aerobics: Get a great workout that is easy on your joints.  These exercises are for any fitness level because they can be done at a high or low intensity.  The 45 min class is held at the Lacon Pool on Saturday mornings at 9:30am starting June 9.  To sign up stop in the gym to pay $35 for the five week session.  For more info please call Amanda at 309-246-8266 or e-mail her at laconfitnessandtan@live.com

5K Training:  Some people want to finish a 5K in a certain amount of time, others just want to finish the race. Whether your goal is to compete in or complete a 5K this program is for you. For those who can already run 3 miles straight we will work on improving their speed. Anyone who can not currently run 3 miles straight will be given the tools to improve their running capabilities. This is a VERY fun program. We train for the Marshall County Old Settlers 5K that is at the end of August. We meet twice a week. Beginners start June 21 and the cost is $75. Advance starts July 5 and is $50. Half of the proceeds go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Thursday nights at 5:30pm and Sunday mornings at 8am
 
New Instructors!  Sign up for classes and meet our awesome new instructors.  Jake is 2011 Biggest Loser's Winner; Carly and Tiffany participated in 2012 Biggest Loser so I can guarantee these 3 have been put through some pretty tough workouts and are ready to give you a good workout.  Denise is our yoga instructor who I am sure you will love.  Densie experienced and ready to share her yoga knowledge with you.  All of our instructors are qualified and excited to work with you.
 
Outdoor Boot Camp:  what the heck is that???  The best workout of your life is what it is.  This workout is tough and is recommended for people who enjoy high intensity workouts.  It is done outside in the heat using your body weight for strength exercises and cardio drills to get your heart rate up.  It is a 45min class and cost $35 for gym members and $40 for non gym members for the  5 week session.  Classes start May 21.  Click the Fitness tab to find out the day and times of classes.

St. Jude

1/2 mile kidz fun run and 100m toddler trot

Friday, June 1 at 6pm

At Jonson’s Grove Park

 

1/2 mile kidz fun run ages 5-12

Toddler trot ages 1-4.

All kids who register before May 25th  get a free T-shirt.

Hot dogs and other food  will be available for purchase at 6.

 

Packet pickup will be Thursday, May 31 from 6-7pm at Lacon Fitness and Tan and Friday, June 1 from 5:30-5:50pm at the park.

 

Donation: first child $20, second child $15, third and after $10.
